A proud heritage...
Entrepreneurial textile merchant, Edmund Bell, established the company to which he gave his name in 1855, leaving the family business to his two sons when he died in 1890.
The 1930s saw Edmund Bell & Company grow its product range to capitalise on the demand for blackout curtains. Before long the business had successfully shifted its focus to become a specialist – and widely regarded - supplier of curtain linings, blackout and dimout fabrics.
Over the years we have worked closely with our manufacturers and finishers to develop the cutting edge processes that enable us to produce the finest quality products in the industry.
In 2005 Edmund Bell proudly celebrated its 150th anniversary by being awarded the UK’s most coveted business accolade - the Queens Award for Enterprise: International Trade; a fitting way to mark a century and a half of success.
